Sunflowers

One of these days, we were driving home and suddenly saw this…

Yes, that would be a whole field of sunflowers. A huuuge field filled with them. This is however, a very particular place – it’s a model farm in the city centre, just about five minutes distance from the place I call home.

I had my camera with me, and Piu was a doll and offered to park so I could take some snapshots. I was delighted with the sight and felt like a kid inside a candy shop. It’s good that they had a fence all around the place or I would have jumped right into it… and seriously suspect I wouldn’t be the only one doing that.

Today, as I came home, this is what I found waiting for me.

I had received the accompanying card already, at lunch, with a message that moved me to tears, but was far from thinking I would still have such a surprise before the day would end.

Do I need to say more? I know, I could say I love Piu with all my heart. But then again, I think he might just know it by now, lol. Therefore… better to leave it this way now – and start preparing the desert for tonight, hehehe (and yes, I am absolutely sure he won’t be reading this before dinner time so it’s not like I’m spoiling HIS surprise, ahahahahah!!)
