When 1 + 1 not equal to 2 ?

I shall start this one with a wide grin… *GRIN*

Intel company, a small computer company you may have heard about, has recently conducted a survey regarding internet reliance and some very deep thoughts…. The NYTimes, a small journal you may also have heard of, has taken that and juiced it up to an amazing and quite interesting conclusion from that study:

Internet or Sex? :: 46% of woman prefer their Internet over Sex !! (article here)

Woosh! Half of the women (and 30% of the men) would prefer to be devoid of any sex for 2 weeks rather then their precious internet !! Heck… I’m shocked really. Quite surprising numbers, don’t you think? I mean… ONLY 46%? And just 30% of the guys? Weird…

Then again… maybe not. I guess the survey didn’t really took in to account many variants, nuances, interpretations and time of usage of the internet vs actual pleasure taken from sex itself… and what do they really define as sex really? I mean… it can mean different things for different persons… and pfff, just so many different variables to account for in one question.

Either way…

A famous, if not the most famous and most popular and successful online games of all times, World of Warcraft (aka: WoW) has been blessed with a bunch of creative and cutting edge thoughts people that can see past all the masks and reveals us the truth of the internet… and therefore shed light on these quite interesting numbers that popped up from this study.

Hope it makes things a little more clear to you all. It sure helped me to solve the math on the post title…

Eh… go figure… I guess I’ll just be going back to my Second Life then…
