Online infidelity ? LOL
I’ve been with a bad cold these last couple of days and didn’t do much writing. Today, though, Petros draw my attention to this post by Moggs, which is a reply to this piece of news that was published on an Australian newpaper or something.
Well, I had my share of FL relationships. I know pretty well what it is to be with someone… and being deeply alone, as if living with a ghost. You know, when the relationship is totally over and what keep people together is the lack of gutts to realize it and assume there’s no way back ? You know, when you have nothing more to give and you don’t receive a thing from the other side ? You know, when you only look like you’re with someone but in fact you’re on your own – sometimes for years and years ?
Now, I go through this article and I pretty well recognise all the bullshit that was said to the reporter. I know all kinds of examples of couples being in-world. Some of them are in-world together, as a couple as well and it does tell us a lot about the state of their partnership or marriage, whatever. Others, are not – each one leading their second lives apart. And THAT also tells us a LOT about their state of affairs ! No use to try to hide or pretend or find pretexts of any kind – if you and your FL partner are no in-world as a partner, that is simply because both of you are looking for different things. Things that you are not getting from the one who lays with you at night on the same bed. And if you keep on… well, that’s only because, in reality, you are no longer making any kind of effort to solve things out.
That’s the plain truth. Useless to try to convince me that the wife caughting her husband in SL with an escort is a sound ground for a divorce. When you live with someone, either you know what the other one is doing – or you don’t. And that only small piece of information tells the world how the temperature of your relationship is going…
I wonder if they take us for fools. Reporters who write this kind of non-sense, I mean – or if they are the ones who can’t see further ahead of their noses anymore.

Exactly!!!! The same thing happens in RL, it’s not SL (or another virtual world or social network) that is to blame; you only look to another side if what you have near you is not what you need…
